Hematology and Family

I've been studying this... really only the left row right now (above).

This.....and this....

I have a huge test tomorrow. Not much stitching going on.

But during Downton Abbey the other night (2 hours) I did get some stitching done. In other news, AKA~ the family.... My little guy has signed up for the 'Science Fair'. I am so proud of him. His topic is Fossils, rocks and minerals. He has a little collection of them. Here he is researching fossils for his project.

(Sorry for the awful, horrible, evil desk photo, it is the hub's desk and he works with metal/oil/ grease/etc.... I don't go near this desk unless I need to print something)

My little guy was also in the Pinewood Derby Race this weekend. Here is a photo of his car. It is actually a VW 'Double Cab'. That's my boy. His Derby car last year was 'Herbie' the VW beetle.

And here is my baby girl. ( She is taller then me,LOL) She is on a new robotics team and loving it!! Sparky Team 384!

What I've been up to.....

I have been stitching a bit while watching movies with the hubs ( see last picture below). Made a little prOgress on my skull pirate.

I've been reading and answering lab questions for my Mirco class.

I've been cooking dinner a lot. One of my New Year's resolutions was to have the family eat at the dinner table more often. :o) I got this recipe off of Pinterest and it is yummy, I've made it twice now...... Cheese & Bacon Potato Rounds

4 baking potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch slices

1/2 Cup melted butter

8 slices bacon ~cooked and crumbled

8 oz shredded Cheddar Cheese

1/2 Cup chopped green onion

Preheat 400 degrees, Brush both sides of potato slices with butter and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 30-40 mins or until lightly browned on both sides, turning once. When done ~ top with bacon, cheese, green onion.....then cont' to bake till the cheese if melted. So easy and so yummy, they are like mini baked potatoes.

I've been watching "The Tuskegee Airmen". What a wonderful movie, it will make you cry. The hubs and I are excited to see the new movie coming out by George Lucas, "Red Tails". Both movies are based on the true story of the 332nd fighter squadron from WWII. Both have Cuba Gooding, Jr. in them also. I love his acting. Anyway, it is an amazing story and I highly recommend it. And I am quite sure that George Lucas' movie will be just as good.

Back to School

School started last week, so I've mostly been reading about the kidneys ( no sewing). In one of my classes I will be having a test in 2 weeks and it will be on 3 chapters, so read, read ,read and study , study, study.

One big reason I am going back to school ( and there are a few reasons why I'm going back) is..... no insurance. I have no medical insurance right now and it sucks. I had to get a physical today for school so I can start clinicals next semester and it cost $672 today to get that physical. Yes, I had a lot of blood work and vaccinations done. But I sure wish I had had some medical insurance. My credit card was screaming at me. But I guess I have to spend money now to make money later. I want this so much and am so scared right now.

On a lighter and more sewing note, I managed to stitched a tiny bit last weekend.... so in celebration of Fall coming, here are some pumpkins. :o)

A LOT going on the week!!!!

A lot going on the this week. My babies started back to school. They are on their second day and doing great so far. Here is Shelby , before the sun came up she had to be on the bus.
My little guy , Jonah. Is doing great getting up early in the morning so far.
A sneak peak at my stitching for the Tea Towel Tour. I drew my own design this time so I am a little nervous about it. I will show the whole picture and explain the madness when I am finished stitching it.

I put a quilt on the barn I paper peiced. and added a cow. This is the project that I can't tell you what it is for. sorry.

A page in my 'Wreck this Journal'. Peace.

Another stitchery done for my 'Bareroots' camping quilt. :o) The Mountains.

I am working on a new table runner, this one is for our home. A Halloween one. I am going to start quilting it this week, I hope. hahaha. I just love this fabric. I love Halloween.

And a new 'munki munki' print for me. :o) Still trying to collect munki munki fabirc. It's hard to find.

1st day of school

My baby started kindergarten today. He and I both did good. I cried a little as the bus pulled away. But it was nice to clean the house today without a 5 year old running around destroying it.
My baby girl in the "big guy" on campus this year, it's her last year in middle school. So far she likes all her teachers. yeah.
And this armchair caddy will be heading to Germany tomorrow. I will be sending it out to my stitch angel partner. I so hope she likes it. I won't show the whole thing because I am suppose to be keeping it a secret. But I got a picture of the whole thing to show off later.
