LOTS of unfinished projects

Remember my baseballs I was working on a few months ago? Some one guessed that they were owls and she was right. They are from the pattern 'Little owl' by Barbara Brandeburg. Here is a shop sample of one. Well.....

I have renamed them...' Little owl on crack'. So I think I will turn these little owls on crack into a table runner. ( unfinished # 1) The pattern is very very cute , my pictures don't do these cute owl justice. I just think they look a little high if you know what I mean.

( unfinished # 2) I have made some progress on my 'Be Creative' wall hanging. I am LOVING it. But I need wool to make the flowers. I know where to get that.. at Quilting Adventures.

( unfinished # 3) PJ shorts for my little boy. But I need elastic, don't have any here. Another reason to run to the quilt shop. Isn't this the cutest fabric? It is robots camping!!! With little tents and canoes.

( unfinished # 4) I need red fabric to bind my mini camping quilt. or green. Don't have that either. All these unfinished projects are driving me crazy.

Joyce, we need to have a UFO party!!!
And the big reason it is driving me crazy, is I want to start on my camping quilt. But I can't until I get some of these other projects done. Here is my camping fabric. LOVE IT. I am going to do wonky stars with the campers in the middle.

Going to go try to work on something that I have the materials for. Then tomorrow I can run to the quilt shop and get the supplies I need to try to finish up some of these goodies.

winnings and top finished

Thank you to Elizabeth of ' Oh Fransson '. She was having a give away on her blog ( love her blog). It was for these coin cuts of Heather Ross fabric. And I won them!!!!

I just love Heather Ross fabric and most of them you just can't find anymore. So now I have a little cut of most of them. One day I hope to make a stacked coin quilt out of them. So.. thank you so much Elizabeth. You just don't know how happy this makes me.
I finished my picnic quilt top.... now, all these squares came for other quilters around the world. Mostly in the U.S. I think I want to put there names and where they live on each block so I can remember them.

It just needs to be sandwiched and quilted now. I just don't know if I am going to do it myself or have a long armer quilt it for me. If I do quilt it myself it will be the biggest quilt I have ever quilted. It's not the funnest part for me. And it might take awhile.

so while I decide there are other things to sew. :o)

Today

Today I worked on my black sashing a bit. This is my picnic quilt from my 'sewconnected 3' group. ( all the blocks were done by different people around the world.) I am hoping to get it done soon so Jonah and i can take it to the park and have picnics on it.

And in the mail today came my new Heather Ross fabric. I am drooling. I going got a 1/4 cut of each because that's all I can afford. But I still can feel it, and look at it and come up with all kinds of things to do with it.
My favorite is the princess and the pea one, then the snail one. One day I will add to the collection and get some unicorns and other color ways. :o)

wedding wall hanging and ready for some sashing

I made a quilted wall hanging for our friends that our getting married. They camp with us and own a VW bus too. Their wedding is next weekend. :o)
I had people who we camp with sign it.... I'll be mailing if off this week to them, hopfully.
Here is the stack of SewConnected 3 blocks. I have been squaring them up to get them ready for some black sashing.

Some blocks I added a bit of extra fabric to the sides because they were only 12" instead of 12 1/2". But it's all good. I think it's going to turn out so cute. My picnic quilt.

Father's day and my quilt is done.

What a wonderful day. I got to spend the day with my dad and my husband. This is me and my dad pool side.
I finished the binding on my quilt today. It will be my mom's quilt's as soon as the shop ( Quilting Adventures) challange is over or the shop doesn't need it anymore. I like how it turned out, it is just a little too bright for me. I like more muted colors. :o)

Here is my beautiful daughter helping me out by holding the quilt up.
PS. this quilt pattern came out of the book 'Quilting for Joy'. I would link it, but my computer is acting up, it think this computer hates me.

So, here is the binding seletion. I didn't go with the multi color one, it was just too wild for me. I went to buy the same white dots on back , but ended up with a different one, which I think looks good. The binding is sewn to the front, but not stitched to the back yet. I'll be working on that this week. When it's done, I'll take a big 'ol photo of the whole thing.

Here is my 2nd block in the MissyMack BOM . Called 'Stingbark farm" . I can 't wait for the 3rd one to come out. MissyMack hasn't been feeling very good, I hope she is doing much better. Sending out a big ((((((HUG)))))) to her.

I finished 2 stitcherys in the "camping" quilt . The pattern is a "Bareroots" pattern. #99 Camping Quilt and Pattern. I actually stitched the duck while sitting by the campfire camping. The fabric still smells like campfire, one of my favorite smells.

I finished this one at our 'young people's sit and stitch' last night.

I am in a on-line swap quilting group called "sew connected 3". Here are my blocks from all my wonderful swaping group. There are 18 of us. I think ( pretty sure) I will be sashing it in black and backing it with black. It is going to be a picnic quilt for us to go to the park with. :o)

And Basil, my littlest baby thinking he can go down the stairs by himself. He chickened out and didn't do it. It is still a long way down for him. You can see my other chihuahua, Chili, in the back ground.

still thinking about the binding

So I was talking to the girls at work tonight. And through out the idea of piecing the scraps and making that the binding. I went home and pieced the scraps and made a binding, but haven't put it on....

Does this look too ' circus' like? Too much color? Is the black still the best choice? I am still leaning towards black. What do you think ??? Help!!!!

I've work a tiny bit on my ' Be Creative' wall quilt.....

I got the little quilt done. Isn't it so cute?

i need advice

I have one more square to quilt on my gerber daisy quilt, then the boarders, then I will be done. So I need to come up with the binding. Help. Should I do the binding in White or Black???

My husband collectes old lanterns.... but the reason I am showing this photo is because I have started to try watercolors.....

It is fun. I have always painted with acrylic. I really like the watercolors.

Back from TN.

Just got back from camping last night. Here is a photo of our family, ( my husband's side). This is who we went camping with in TN.

I made a ring barrer (sp) pillow for friends of mine. We camp with the couple and they are getting married in June. The pillow isn't stuffed here, so it is looking flat. Yes, her colors are aqua and yellow. :o)

Rememeber I was working on a 'LizzieB Creative' patten called ' Be Creative'? Well, here is the photo of the pattern......

and here is my progress.... I am working on the purple quilt part now.

And I added a cute camping boarder to my camper wall hanging. It looks a little too big for me, so I may end up cutting in smaller.
