I've been spoiled

I got another package in the mail today from my stitcher angel. If you don't remember, she lives in Australia and her name is Kim. Thank you so much Kim , I just LOVE it all. You have done so much for me.

Here is a needle case/holder Kim made me. Her stitches are tiny and wonderful. It's the cutest thing, I've already got my needles in it and ready to go to a class tonight at the quilt shop.

Here is a close up of my pin cushion and scissors holder. I just can't get over them.
Kim, you rock. I still would love to see your blog. could I have you blog address? Please.

Here is how much I've done on my puzzle. And lastly, Phoebe, from "the shop" ( http://www.quiltingadventures.com/qablog/ ) brought me all kinds a goodies from Market. I will post pictures of them soon. My favorite is a autograph from Jay from "Project Runway". He has a line of fabric coming out. More on that later.

more Christmas

Working on more Christmas gifts. I want to be all done by Dec 1st. I still have a few to finish and start. I really can't show the full picture of the project because I don't know who in my family reads my blog. :o) But... this is going to be a table runner. The Amy Butler fabric is gorgeous. I am just drooling all over it.

This is a finished project, ( Christmas gift) , but I can't show it sorry. Maybe after Christmas I'll have a post with all the FULL pictures.
Here is another one. This one took a whole spool of black thread and about drove me to drink. But it turned out great.
Gotta run to work now.... Have a great day everyone.

back from camping

It only rained part of the day Saturday. It wasn't too bad and we still had a great time camping. Here is a picture of the girls. ( the big girls ).

This a shop sample I just finished. I did not make the the stocking it self. Just embroidered it and added the cute white balls to it.
Here is a close up.....
And my new toy. I LOVE these things.....
Progress on my North Pole block. Lets see... I still have 2 marbles to applique , a little sign over the door and maybe the shutters. Haven't figured out if I am going to add the shutter's or not, I don't want it to look too busy.

busy day

I went to the Richmond Guild Quilt Show today, what fun. Lots of quilts and fun stuff to buy. I bought a puzzle with a quilt on it. I am going to try to do it and then glue it together and hang it on my sewing room wall. I will take a picture of the puzzle box later and show you how cute it is.

I sent my swap angels last package out today, this is just one thing I had in there. I made this needle/pin holder, the pattern came from Cinderberry Stitches', it's a free pattern.

And I started quilting the Hungry Caterpillar quilt. Oh, I almost forgot, I finished another Christmas gift today, but I can't post a picture. I may post a picture of the fabric I used in it. It's so beautiful.
Gotta run, we are headed out to go camping for the weekend, in the rain. :o)

hungry caterpillar

I finished the quilt top for Jonah's kindergarten teacher. This will be her Christmas gift.

This is just the top though, so I have a long way to go. I like how it turned out. It's small enough I can get it done by December. It's only 30 X 33.

TTT4

Oops, forgot to show you the last tea towel I stitched on. It's already on it's way to the next person. Her theme was chickens and roosters. I should be receiving the next tea towel any day now.

advent calendar

Yeah, I finished the kid's ( my kids) advent calendar with time to spare. It's the "bareroots" pattern #125 called " Christmas time is coming". The little pockets are hand embroidered and crayon tinted. I've already stocked up on Halloween candy to save for the pockets. :o) The pattern called for embroidery all around the white boarded but I thought it would look too busy so I left it out.

Here is my Shell (Shelby). Waiting to have her MRI Wednesday. No word yet on what they saw or think about her knee.

MRI Wednesday

I am going to give you the short version.... My baby girl twisted her knee and heard/ felt a pop. Then went to the ground with pain.
In the Urgent Care they took X-rays (4) . Her knee is swollen twice the size of the other knee. They said it is not broke, but looks bad so off we go to the Orthopedics office......
She is now in a brace and on crutches. She can't not put weight on her left leg. The orthopedic said the same thing... it's not broke but it doesn't look good. We go Wednesday for a MRI. He mentioned surgery. So we'll see. Right now she is in bed with her leg elevated and on some good medication. My poor baby.

I have been sewing.

I have been sewing, but I can't show you anything because it's been all Christmas gifts. Here is a sneak peak. This is 2 different gifts that I finished today.

And here is what Yoda May looks like now. She had her nose redone. And I think I heard my husband say something about sand blasting her soon. So the green may be gone soon. When she is all done, which will be years from now, I'll paint her back to green.
