the quilt was signed

The signature tree quilt I made for my sister in law and her new husband has been signed.

Their wedding was this weekend and it was beautiful.

Here they are with their two dogs who are like kids to them.

Congratulations Dison and Becca!

Bubble Fun

I was searching cute blogs when I came across "I make Stuff" and found this cute blog post about how to make a 'bubble station'. So I had to make one for our back porch.

The top pot holds the bubble wands and the bottom pot holds the bubble liquid. My husband closed the holes up on the bottom one with some kind of glue/epoxy stuff. I am going to make a cute cover to go over it with 'oil cloth' so when it rains , it's doesn't fill up with water.

My little guy and I made bubble art today too. Where you put bubbles in bowls add food coloring. Then blow the bubbles on paper, when they pop you've got color.

A cool dip in the pool too. It was hot today and the pool felt wonderful. Basil didn't care too much for it.

another block done

I finished #7 block of my "A Boy's Story" quilt top. From Hatched and Patched. Here is the whole block. Close up of the applique block...

close up of one of the embroideries.

And a close up of the other one.

Here is a shot of the whole quilt top so far. I am thinking it's pretty huge.

Only 2 more blocks to go. :o) And then I need to figure out what I am going to do about quilting it.
