I really thought I was down to one bag of floss and one box of already wound floss before I started this organizational task. I've been winding for 3 days now. Not the whole 3 days. :o) Just here and there for 3 days.
I've now filled one more box. So I have the box that was full to begin with and a newly filled box.... but wait there's more....
I opened a drawer in my bedroom and found another bag full of floss today! I haven't even finished winding the first bag of floss. I thought I was getting close to being done with winding floss, the bag on the right in the one I've been working on. The one on the left is the bag I found today. Oh holy moly, what have I started?! I will need to go buy another container or 2 to hold all this.
PSS~ I think I'll just go stitch some. :o)

It may seem like a lot of work but it'll be totally worth it! Keep it up!
Oofa, and I thought I had a lot of floss! I just organized my floss the same way at the beginning of Dec, and likewise, it took me three nights, yeesh! Now, I'm hoping I can keep it that way.
Oh, been there, done that! What a chore that is, but it is so worth it in the end. You will no doubt be dreaming about it in the night before you are done. lol! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment.
Oh my!!! I filled ONE box, and it took me days to rewind all of that floss! It looks SO pretty though! I hope to do ALOT of stitching this New Year!!!! Enjoy all of that ORGANIZATION!!! Looking good!
I've got mine in tiny ziplock bags - each skein gets its own bag - and then I put the bags on binder clip rings by color. Well, in theory that's how it works. Right now they're in assorted bins and other project bags as I need them. Quicker, and working for me. But yours does look very prettiful! :-)
I found that when you turn the cards 90 degrees, you can fit more cards in each portion and close the lid more easily.
I did get a kind or RSI from all the winding and had to do a few each day ;-).
