up and running

With a lot of help from other bloggers and the manual, my husband and I finally got the grace frame and machine up and running.... Oh my goodness it's a lot of work to get the quilt on the frame, but once it's on, it is pretty fun quilting.

Here are some of my first stitches, don't look too close... I am still learning and practicing, but this is just a picnic quilt that is going to be lying on the ground one day anyway. I can't wait to unroll the quilt from the rod to see what the whole thing will look like.

So is that a frame you just put your regular machine on to quilt with? That's so cool! the quilting looks great!

That's great, Amy! I can't wait to see the quilt (and the machine -- have you given it a name yet?) in person!
