a new iron and stuff

I had to go out and buy a new iron because my old iron.....
did this....
The cord catch fire in my hand. Hubby is out of town, so yesterday ( the day it happened) was not a good day for me. I am doing better today though. But I couldn't sew without an iron, so I ran out to Target and bought a new one.

Today I finished a lot more of my surprise for a friend. hehehe
And I worked on my paper piecing " on the road" pattern. Remember the one I got from the quilt show with the very cute camper trailer on it. :o)
I wanna camp so much , I am having camping withdrawal.

That camping quilt is so cute!

Right now we're in the middle of a "Barbie family camps at the beach" scenario in my daughter's bedroom...I think she is also longing for the warm outdoors!

I have a similar camping quilt project with paper piecing...but with a tent and canoe. (I'll embrodier some mosquitos!)

Sorry...about about your hand! OUCH! and you are lucky!!!

The new iron looks snazzy!

Lovely...the flowers embrodiered onthe quilt squares is LOVELY! You work is so fine!

Glad you were there to keep the iron from causing any damage! As a quilter, shopping for an iron is not my favourite task. They never seem to have one that a quilter would appreciate. Lovely projects you have going! Thanks for sharing!
