my teenager

My teenager says this is the new trend. I believed her and let her cut her hair. ..... I shaved the side of my head in high school so I figured I would let her do what she wants with her hair, it will grow back. I think she looks like the statue of Liberty.
More spider web weaving....:o)
Oh ... and I finished the binding on my flower quilt. Ziggy , the new dog thinks it is his, I lied it on the floor to take a photo and he curled up on it like he owned it. Very cute.

I haven't seen this style yet but I'm going to be watching for it on the teens here. Is there a name for the style?

for me, I shaved everything but a bright blue shock of bangs that fell to my chin. We were so rad. Rock On!

(this pat benatar meets david bowie stuff does not impress me, however.)

Hehe, the styles here are all really weird to me. I keep seeing outfits that look like they're out of the 80s, but supposedly they're fashionable. And good for you for letting her cut her hair. I kept mine simple in high school, but cut it super short and dyed it fire-engine red in college. Unfortunately it was pink until it finally grew out.

Oh my gosh - I love her hair!! Styles are different now, but you're right - it will grow back.
Love how the spiderweb quilt is coming along!

I'm sure your daughter loved hearing she looks like the Statue of Liberty!! LOL! That's so funny! I shaved the side of my head in high school, too. That's a very scary memory!!!

I still don't see how she can get it to stay like that all the way in the back! I'm too dumb to have crazy hairstyles... or lazy! I love that Ziggy curled up on your quilt! I think he must want to stay with you!!!

Your quilts are so detailed and look great. I love the camping scene. I have recently stumbled upon a blog tutorial that shows you how do paper piecing without sewing on the paper. I am happy to share the link with you. Cheers

cakesMy niece has the same thing. She calls it a crown. At first I thought she did it herself, and messed it up, then I cut it and fixed it for her(blending it in) and she actually wanted it that way. She had to grow it out to have it longer than her little sprout of hair. I'd just never seen it before...LOL
