Tie-Dye class

The kids took at tie-dying class at the shop the other day. The shop being Quilting Adventures. Moncia taught the class, she is such a great teacher. Here are the kids T-shirts all ready for the dye. They each rolled their shirts up a different way.....

Here they are dying.... Shelby used the colors red and blue.

Jonah used the colors green, yellow, and red.

Finished putting the dye on..... now the wait. They had to wait 24 hours until they could open them up and see the cool design.

But the wait was worth it. Didn't they turn out so great? Both of them are so excited about how the shirts turned out.

Cheryl's daughter took the class too. You can see how cute her T-shirts turned out too. They all turned out so great. Thank you Moncia for teaching the class.

The weekend

This is what I got done over the weekend.... My Mr. & Mrs. Claus's house block from the "Welcome to the North Pole" book . Pattern by Piece O' Cake Designs. I think this is my 4th block finished. I'd like to have it done by December so I can hang it on the wall for Christmas.

Two embroideries done for my camping quilt. This one is from a "bareroots" pattern.

And I started a new quilt today. My best friend from high school has been begging me for years and years to make her a quilt. She asked again the other day and I finially gave in. She wants a cowboy boot quilt. I told her I would only do a crib size. This is what I have so far.

I took the kids to make tie-dye T-shirts today at the quilt shop, Quilting Adventures. Monica taught them and they had so much fun. The shirts are still in the bag waiting 24 hours before we can open them. So my next post will probably be the results of the cool tie-dye class. Thanks Monica, your a great teacher.
