He got lots of military toys for his birthday. This is one of his favorites... a helicopter he can fly by remote.

We drove up to Ikea and got the birthday boy a new bed, too. My first and last time at Ikea. It was so crowded , my husband and I both do not do crowds. It was like a Wal-mart on crack. And my friends know I don't go to Wal-mart because of ALL the people. We managed to get the bed and I a migraine ( really).
Here is my sweet boy after a wonderful birthday, sleeping in his new bed. He loves it and that is all the matters.

looks like a lovely time, amy! i love the hanging army men. :D hope you are recovered from Ikea! you know they are not nearly as big in Sweden as they are in the US (no surprise there!).
You have to pick the right time to go to IKEA. NOT on a Saturday or time everyone is free. We live quite near an IKEA and usually in the morning it is quiet and somewhere around dinner time (every one sits in the restaurant).
Congratulations on your BIG boy, at least the bed sleeps sound by the look of the picture ;-)
