i need advice

I have one more square to quilt on my gerber daisy quilt, then the boarders, then I will be done. So I need to come up with the binding. Help. Should I do the binding in White or Black???

My husband collectes old lanterns.... but the reason I am showing this photo is because I have started to try watercolors.....

It is fun. I have always painted with acrylic. I really like the watercolors.

I'd go black on the binding - it's going to be beautiful! And the watercolor is so good. You amaze me with all your talents.

I wonder what a white binding would look like - it might be cool! I think it would be striking and unexpected. I would try it and if you don't like it go to black. Although I'm a fan of patterned bindings, like polka dots or stripes....

No matter what you decide, the quilt is darling!

I think black, too, for the binding. And have you ever watched that watercolor guy on PBS? Terry Madden is his name. I am crazy addicted to that show! At least it's not Daisy of Love! ;-)

Lovely quilt. I will choose a white binding or B&W but not black ( ! )Kiss from France

I'm kinda partial to red..... but since I was in last week asking YOU for advice on fabrics, I don't have much faith in my color-eye!
Amy your watercolor is fantastic! Almost, dare I say it, Heather Ross-ish.... have you tried painting or drawing animals, people, plants, etc....? You have a great eye!

I would do red, too, unless you didn't want the binding to stand out (in which case I'd use black). Red would bring out the red flowers and look awesome, I think.

I just looked at a close up of the quilt and the orange/pink/purple geometric fabric you used in some of the flowers would look fabulous as a binding. It would be bold, but not as bold as a solid red would be.

I'd also vote for black- so as to not detract too much from all those gorgeous flowers. One of hte flower colours could also be an option...

I would go for black, even before I read all the other entries!
