still no curtains

I am still trying to figure out which fabric to use for my kitchen curtains. I like what Bean said. She said to add a pop of color. My husband has a lantern collection that hangs in our kitchen and most of the lanterns are red. So I am thinking of adding a pop of red with the curtains. ( these aren't all the lanterns, there are more on the other side of the kitchen too).

#1
#2 , this one may be too bright for me.
#3 I was thinking this one with a red band at the bottom of them.
#4 love this one, maybe with a black band at the bottom.
# 5.. this one with a red band at the bottom.
I've been working on the flying geese in my chubby chicks quilt top. When I get further sewing done on them, I'll post a photo.

Yes! Amen to the pop of color idea! You could even make some simple curtains that you can change for the seasons.

I like #3 with the band of red at the bottom. Lovely!

I love the lanterns in the kitchen...unique, fun, shows personality and character. And I love the idea of accentuating with a little color. That being said, I like #1 and #3!

Take your time and don't feel alone. I've yet to make any curtains for our house and we've been in here since April. Maybe those should be next on my 2009 Sewing List? :)

Happy 2009!

I also agree with the majority -- either 1 or 3 (with the band of red). Will the red bug you, do you think?
