My new Kitchen art.

Today in the mail I received my new wall decal for my kitchen. I got it from this etsy shop, called 'Freckled Hound'. I hung it on my kitchen wall and it looks so cute. I hate to cook...have I ever told you that.

Last night we had our 'North Pole' block class at the shop. I worked on my reindeer barn, but didn't get to far on it. I did get a tree done. :o) I haven't worked on this quilt in awhile because I have been embroidering my butt off. I love doing both applique and embroidery, but have come to released that embroidery is much more relaxing.
Don't get me wrong, applique is fun too, but the needle is sharper and it's a little harder to do. I prick my finger more with applique. Ok.... I am babbling now. Have a great day sewing.

THAT sign is too great!

although I like to cook...I can certainly appreciate it! I hate to clean!

The sign is fabulous! I like to cook when I have everything I need and the mood hits. I think if I still lived by myself I would just eat frozen dinners most of the time. Of course, then I might turn into a big preservative. :)

Love, love, LOVE the decal! And the house is cute, too. :-) It's probably nice to do these things once a month. Less burnout that way, for such a big project.

Fun sign! I kinda like to cook. I think it can be a creative expression much like sewing and embroidery. But, you have to "let go of the measurements." At least that's what I had to learn from my husband before I could enjoy cooking with him.

The reindeer barn is sweet!

I know exactly what you mean about a pricked finger -- embroidery does seem more soothing.

Love your kitchen art! That is. so. cool.

I'm trying to applique - it is very slow going. Next up is embriodery! This looks good though - love the fabric you used in the tree!

I love the sign!!!

I love the quilt block, too! My son loves candy canes, so he'd love that!

That sing is great. We have one more thing in common than the North pole quilt! I don't like cooking and am very lucky with a husband who does. So in weekends and holidays... I try to stay out of the kitchen as much as I can!

The kitchen is my favorite place-- maybe because all the food is there. ;)
