Making of a Pencil Roll

So, I have this book called 'Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts'. It's wonderful. This pencil roll pattern came out of it. I have made it a couple of times , actually I think this is the 4th one I've made. I keep giving them away, but I think I will sell this one in my 'Esty' shop. The author of the book credits Kathy Mack of Pink Chalk Studio for the pattern. I visit her blog all the time.

Is it very easy to make, the hardest part is picking out all the colors.

Here it is all rolled up. It fits 24 pencils. :o)

PS. my 'esty' shop name is sewamy.

It turned out great. I've got that book and keep meaning to make something from it. I just need more crafting time....

I've seen a few of these before in blogland, but I must say I really like yours for the fabrics and colors you chose to coordinate with the pencils. Awesome!

Great job matching all the colours, I've got the book but I don't have the patience to do one!

Awsome! I am about to make one - woo hoo you have stopped me from procrastination! Jo kindly lent me her book so I can make one - but mine will only be 12 pencils...

What a cool (and useful) thing to make! Was it hard to pick matching colours to the pencils? It looks great.
