Father's day and my quilt is done.

What a wonderful day. I got to spend the day with my dad and my husband. This is me and my dad pool side.
I finished the binding on my quilt today. It will be my mom's quilt's as soon as the shop ( Quilting Adventures) challange is over or the shop doesn't need it anymore. I like how it turned out, it is just a little too bright for me. I like more muted colors. :o)

Here is my beautiful daughter helping me out by holding the quilt up.
PS. this quilt pattern came out of the book 'Quilting for Joy'. I would link it, but my computer is acting up, it think this computer hates me.

the newest member of our family.... Basil.

Here is Basil. He is my baby chihuahua who is 7 weeks old.
We tryed to weight him, but the scale wouldn't register, so I guess he is under a pound.

He has already won my heart. I love him. He will be making his first camping trip this weekend too. I'll let you know how he does on my camping blog when we get back.
I made a really cute bakit doggie harness to sell on Etsy. Of course it fits a chihuahua. This is Chile, He is about 8 or 9 pounds.

And I told you awhile back I would show you Miss Ward's end of the year wall hanging quilt. Miss Ward is Jonah's teacher. I finished quilting it. The end of the book says" teacher, teacher what do you see?". So I added a photo of Miss Ward at the bottom. Isn't she cute and she is as sweet as a button.

Progress is still coming along on my gerger flower quilt , ( no photo this time). I am getting about one block quilted a day. But I am leaving to go camping tomorrow. So 4 days without quilting on it.
Happy Sewing, Amy

favorite flower

My new favorite flower, the gerber daisy. I still love the tulip and the regular daisy. But gerber daisy is now my fav. :o)
