HocusPocusVille and an April Block

I finished my 4th Hocus Pocus Ville block.  Well.... sort of.  I don't know how to fill in the bats yet.  So I am going to think on it for a little while before I do.
Below is block #4 in full.  I'm adding a bit of orange to every block because orange makes me smile. And every quilt needs orange in it.
Below is block #3
Below is Block #1
Below is Block #2
Another start, ha haha. I seem to start a lot of projects and feel like I don't finish much.  But here is 'April', the patterns are from 'Little House Needleworks' and was a BOM from 2010.  I saw this photo and fell in love.  I've email the stitcher, Edgar of Blacksheep's bit of the web and he helped me get started. Thank you Edgar.
I have changed some of the colors a tiny bit.  I love orange much more then yellow, so the boarder and the sun are more orange in this block.  I only have 2 more days of school left this semester and then a 2 week break before the Summer semester starts so I am hoping to get lots of stitching in those 2 weeks. :o)

Jolly Holiday with Mary

I finished up my two Christmas ornaments. My first two ever. I can't wait to add to my collection every year.

And I can't wait to hang them at Christmas time. :o) Or even hand them for the whole Winter season. They look very handmade, but super cute I think.

Today I stitched on some boarders while watching one of my favorite movies..... Mary Poppins.

I added the boarders to my Heather Ross fabric quilt.

And here is a look at my "George Lassos the Moon" stitchery. I'm not sure yet if I will make this into a little pillow or frame it.

Octopus With a Head

Sewing retreat at my local quilt shop (Quilting Adventures) last Saturday. Six hours of uninterrupted sewing. I got almost a whole top finished.

These are coin stacks from my Heather Ross stash. And I don't know when I'll get time to work on it again.

I laid it out when I got home and my husband says "Is that octopus supposed to have a head?". I didn't even notice it. LOL But how funny!!!
For Easter my daughter and one of her best friends made a cake. They wouldn't let me see it until it was done. Look how cute it turned out...

It's a bunny stuck in a tree stump hole. The cake was delicious too.

Stitchy Goodness and A Proud Mama

Hello all my sweet stitchy friends. I finally put a back on one of my ornaments. I haven't stuffed him yet, but he is one step closer to being ready to hang when Christmas gets here. ( Have I told you lately how much I miss Christmas?)

But for right now, I am loving Spring. Here is my Christmasy back....

I received a new ornament pattern in the mail yesterday. I love this one and can't wait to start it.

I've been able to work on my HocusPocus Ville Block 4 a little bit. Here is the prOgress. I want to finish it soon so I can concentrate on some cross stitch patterns I've been wanting to do. Like the one above. :o)

So proud of my daughter. She applied for an award and won runner up. Over 1200 girls applied. It is an award of women in aspirations of computing. If you didn't know, my baby girl is a programmer and gamer. She is the one that helps program the robot for her robotics team. :o)
~~(she drew the dinosaur on her name tag~teehee hee). This picture is at the awards ceremony.

Her high school also had an award celebration. There were 3 girls from her school that won awards. NCWIT~National Center for Women & Information Technology

Here is my mom (her Mimi) and she at the award celebration.

I don't know if I am more proud of her winning or for her just applying. She applied and didn't even tell me until she asked if we could go to an award ceremony about 2 hours away. She said she was getting some award. I said "Heck Yes we can go!!" :o)

Well, back to studying hemostasis this week. This platelets are going to be the death of me. LOL
