Is Spring here yet?

So we are a little snowed in again. I love looking at the snow, but am ready for Spring. Here is my son coming home in the evening from playing at a friends house.

And my girl, she only stayed out there about 2 minutes. :o)

I am putting my first block together from the " a boy's story" quilt. I really like how it's turning out.

My new toy... bought off Etsy.
Going to go crawl back in bed and stitch.

My creative space....

I picked out fabric for my new project I am starting. The fabric is lying on my cutting table so I can just stare at it. I told you about my newest project in my last post..... "A Boy's Story".

I started the first stitchery for it. " Geronimo".

Today I work a tiny bit on my next row for my row robin. This is paper piecing, but this is all I can show you.

embroidery and I've lost my mind. :o)

I received my first embroidery block back from our 'Hoop Up' Swap and I just had to post it. Dena stitched this up for me. My theme is Sew~ on ~ Wednesday. I choose the vintage 'days of the weeks' for tea towels... Wednesday was usually 'sewing'. I love this pattern and now I have it stitched up for me. Isn't it the cutest ever?!

And O m g, I am starting a new project. Yes.... I am crazy in the head. But I love this new book , " A Boy's Story" by Hatched and Patched. So I am going to start on this adorable boy's quilt in hopes that I get it finished in time for a grandson one day. LOL

spider webs and paint.

I made one more block for my 'spider web' quilt top. Hahaha, I know, this is going to take me forever. And I want it big enough to cover our queen size bed. But I am not giving up on it.

I did a little painting this weekend. My girl friend wanted me to paint over a sign she had ( the old sign said " Home Sweet Home" . She is my camping buddy , so she wanted something to do with camping on it.
And Jonah is much much better!! Thank you all for the kinds words, prayers, and good vibes sent this way!!!

Sick baby this week.

My sweet baby boy has pneumonia and a double ear infection. So I have been stuck at home since Tuesday, ( Except for the outing to the doctor's office, the imaging center for x-rays, and the pharmacy for medication) But I have gotten some sewing done.

I finished another one of my "hoop up" embroidery's. This one is for Ryan, who's theme is owls. Can you tell? :o) The pattern is from a coloring page. I did change it a little. He looks a little ''Dr. Seuss' to me, but I love Dr. Seuss.
I stitched up a block for my sewconnected 3 group. Gretchen wants to make an Amish quilt. This block is called the 'Amish Diamond' so I thought is would be perfect.

And I finally finish my row for my row robin. The rows are turning out to be scrappy Autumn. So I did a scrappy star Autumn sky. The stars I made by using Thangles.
Have a great rest on the week. Going to go take care of my little guy now.

My new knitted bus.

I have made the sweetest on-line blogging and flickr friends. One of them is Rebekah or Beetastic. I have been in a couple tea towel tours with her. She knits too. Look what she has knitted for me... our bus. Isn't it the cutest thing you've ever seen.

It has a little surf board on top. The tires look flat ,but they aren't. They are just squished right now. Rebekah took a picture of our bus and copied the colors.

Here is our bus. I just can't get over how cute it is and how sweet Rebekah is.

And here is what I have been working on this week...... scrappy stars, for my row robin.

I've been so cold.

I am so ready for Spring, I just can't keep warm this Winter. I made a scarf to wear to work. Our "signature color" at work is purple... Maybe this will help me stay a little warmer while at work.

I've been cuddled up under the covers stitching a bit....I finished the January BOM from the "little stitchies" Bareroots pattern.
But have only made a tiny progress on my cross stitch.

Happy Stitching.

2 finishes

I finished an embroidery for a "hoop up" swap I am doing. It's happening over at Flickr. My theme is " Sew-on-Wednesday" from the vintage sew patterns.

And I finished the commissions quilt. It's a wedding quilt for 2 VW bus owners. People will sign the boarders at their wedding. :o)
Did you see that Rob Appell posted a comment on my last post? OMG! Thank you Rob! And I would love for you to teach my how to surf if I am ever your way.

I grow up at the beach. Buckroe Beach. So I love the surf. I have recently found this guy, Rob Appell. He is a surfer and a quilter. Awesome quilts!! And has a cool new book out.

Also , my favorite fabric designer, Heather Ross's design will be going on a surf board. A Walden surfboard ,So exciting. Makes me wish I could surf. Actually I really do which I could surf. :o)
